One Score and Zero Years Ago: The 1993 Upper Deck Series 1 Braves

As much as I liked the 1994 Upper Deck baseball set, I think the 1993 release is the last of the 'great' sets produced by the Carlsbad, Ca. company.

For its fifth release, Upper Deck would make use of a glossy stock, which gave it a much more high-end appearance. At 840 cards, it was also the company's largest set to date. Yes, the photography was still second to none, and once again the set featured a great checklist of stars, commons, prospects, and aging veterans.

Favorite Card in Series 1 Team Set:
24 Chipper Jones How could I not choose the Star Rookie card of the young prospect? Great pose, black border on top and bottom and of course the star rookie logo all contribute to the beauty of this one.
