Food-Issue Friday: 1992 King B's Terry Pendleton

For the fifth consecutive year, Mike Schechter Associates created these 2-3/4" discs that could be found in plastic containers of King-B shredded jerky. And like the four preceding sets, this issue featured twenty-four discs of some of the game's top stars.

Hit King

Well, I guess that title belongs to Pete Rose, but Pendleton did lead the league in hits for the second straight season during the 1992 campaign. After finishing with 187 base knocks during his first season in Atlanta, Terry followed up his 1991 NL MVP season by leading the senior circuit with 199 hits-  finishing second in the 1992 MVP race.

1992 Multi-Hit games: 53
Longest hitting streaks of 1992: 15, 12, and 11
