Hobby Birthday and a Hall of Fame Giveaway

It was five-years ago today that I re-entered the hobby (for the second time) and so I'm going to be celebrating the occasion with a giveaway.

Tell us, ChopKeeper, what can we win?!!

Well, let's begin with this autographed card of Hall of Fame outfielder Jim Rice:

ooooooh

But wait- I'm also going to give away this sweet signature of San Diego Padre starting pitcher Andrew Cashner from 2010 Topps Update.

aaaaahhhhhh

How do we get a chance to win such awesome stuff, ChopKeeper?

All you need to do is reply in the comment section, telling me how long you have been involved in the hobby. The contest is open for 5 days- any replies left after Thursday, January 1st will be disqualified. I will randomize all qualified contestants on Friday, January 2 and will post the results on Saturday, January 3.

Good luck to all!

  5. I've been collecting since the early 90's. Jim Rice wasn't too nice when I met him at a card show a while back.

  8. I think I got into collecting in 1991 or thereabouts, but took a long break from 2000 or so until I picked it back up in 2013. So about 12 years total over a 24-year span.

  9. I collected as a kid and stopped around high school.
Then started my second stint in collecting about 6 years ago.
Began blogging about it 3 years ago.

  11. Started when I was 5 or 6, stopped at 18, restarted at 21, so that makes 25 years. Going to have my 6th blogiversary in 2015, though I don't know if you can count the last 3 years of virtual non-posting.

  12. I got into collecting at Christmas of 1991. I left it all behind around 2004, but after I got my dad's collection after he passed a couple years later, I got back into the hobby, albeit slowly. Something snapped in 2013 after my sister passed away and I got back into it whole hog. I hope not to slow down in 2015 as I approach my 6 month blog anniversary.
